Parker Irving is a senior graduating in May, studying Computer Science and Math. In his free time he enjoys running, rock climbing, and playing music (poorly). This summer Parker worked as a software engineering intern at Nike in Beaverton, Oregon. Parker has professional experience in full-stack web development. He has done research here at Virginia Tech with the Crowd Lab under the supervision of Dr. Luther.
Parker is passionate about sustainability, and the intersection of computing and sustainability. He is also interested in how people use computers to foster creativity and collaboration. This semester Parker hopes to learn more about creative practices and create a novel and interesting project.
Hi, Parker. Ooh. SW intern at Nike sounds so cool. That probably was my childhood dream job. I wonder if Nike has special perks for their employee. Creativity and collaboration go together. :)
